Completed in June 2020, the 13,400-square-foot Iron Workers 396 Union Hall was a design-build project and Keystone Finalist. The facility showcases union craftsmanship through Thermomass tilt-up wall panels with brick inlay, kingpost trusses, AESS steel, and reclaimed terrazzo logos salvaged from the 1956 hall. Key spaces include a two-story entry lobby, atrium, and reception with custom interiors, curtain wall, and ornamental stairs. Custom furniture and a ceiling cloud element in the boardroom further elevate the design. Blending industrial aesthetic with modern function, the hall serves as a lasting symbol of the union’s legacy and community role.
