Integrate Construction Partners Builds Six New Trees for City Foundry’s Second Annual “Garland and Graffiti” Holiday Event

For a second year, the employees at Integrate Construction Partners (Integrate) donated their building skills to create six wooden trees for City Foundry STL’s “Garland and Graffiti” holiday initiative.

City Foundry STL is a transformative “live, work, play” community featuring a food hall, movie theater, shops and more in St. Louis’ Midtown neighborhood. The site’s $217 million redevelopment is one of the largest historic redevelopments in St. Louis history. Integrate worked on several key projects at City Foundry including the Alamo Drafthouse, Sandbox VR and kitchens within the food hall.

Started in 2022, this year’s “Garland and Graffiti” event features 11, six-foot tall, eight-sided wooden trees (five from the 2022 campaign) decorated by talented local graffiti artists procured through the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis. Each uniquely painted tree is on public display now through the first week of January along Foundry Way.

To further enhance the experience and provide insightful context, each tree is accompanied by a plaque highlighting the artist’s photograph, biography and a link for more information. Additionally, each tree features a QR code enabling the public to make online donations to their favorite organizations.

“We are so excited to be donating our construction skills for a second year to this fantastic, community-building initiative,” said Integrate President Scott Zola. “Our Integrate Community program encourages employees to give back to charitable organizations and seek out volunteer opportunities around the St. Louis area, like this one.”

Last year’s “Garland and Graffiti” event drew an impressive 234,000 visitors to City Foundry. As a result of this exposure, the participating non-profit organizations and artists, who donated their talents and time, experienced significant recognition and support.

“Many of the non-profits reported record-breaking donations last December, underscoring the profound impact of the initiative in enhancing the well-being of the community and promoting artistic expression,” said City Foundry Representative Matt Sorth. “The event successfully brings together various stakeholders to create a meaningful and impactful holiday experience, leaving a lasting positive impression on all who partake in this unique celebration.”
